Hi!
I am Malou and I'm the owner of Richmond Fibres. I'm so happy you're here!
I run this small business from my home in Melbourne, Australia and I put all my free time, passion and creativity in making beautiful yarn for fellow yarn-lovers.
How it started
In the Winter of 2022 I realised how vital it is for me to create things with my own hands. A dormant hobby-- knitting-- lit the spark that would turn into my own business and I have enjoyed every second of building and maintaining it!
My inspiration
I spend every day in awe of the natural beauty of Australian flora and fauna and use it as inspiration for dyeing my yarn. I do my best to source all my products locally and I'm mindful of everything and everyone I share this beautiful planet with. It's important to me that future generations can enjoy everything the Earth has to offer!
On a more personal note
- I love all animals, but I adore dogs and bees
- I grow my own veg in a tiny garden in the middle of Melbourne, Australia
- My nan is responsible for passing her creativity on to me and I'm incredibly grateful for it
